A double bill from Opera Ithaca: Liberation/The Infinite Energy of Ada Lovelace (World Premiere)

STAY TUNED FOR TICKET INFORMATION!

Composed by Kamala Sankaram (THE INFINITE ENERGY OF ADA LOVELACE) and Francesca Caccini (LIBERATION), directed by Susannah Berryman & Mary Corsaro, and conducted by Mila Henry, this special Opera Ithaca double bill spotlights female composers. Opera Ithaca is the only opera company in the world which programs female-written work every season, and fittingly presents Francesca Caccini’s Liberation (La Liberazione di Ruggiero), the first opera written by a woman, alongside the world premiere of Sankram’s The Infinite Energy of Ada Lovelace. The top-notch cast includes New York City Opera tenor and Broadway actor Glenn Seven Allen, baritone Dennis Jesse, mezzo-soprano Courtney Elvira, and soprano Tamara Acosta. Susannah Berryman and Mary Corsaro, the team behind Thumbprint, collaborate with Mila Henry to contribute this exciting work to the contemporary opera scene.
