The Cherry Arts is seeking a motivated, organized “people person” to conduct our summer sponsorship drive. The position is available as early as July 1 and can last up until the end of August. Our understanding is that this part-time position may not impact your ability to receive unemployment benefits. Applications accepted until July 1 or such time as the position is filled.

The successful candidate will develop and administer the Cherry Arts’ Sponsorship program for summer 2020. After becoming fluent on the past successes and upcoming projects of the Cherry Arts, this role will contact existing and new potential sponsoring businesses – ensuring the Cherry Arts retains our important existing sponsors, encourages increased sponsorship levels (when possible), and supplementing our current sponsors with new members of our family of supporters.

The contract position will provide work for up to 20 hours per week for up to eight weeks. Scheduling is flexible and work may be done remotely. Base pay starts at $15.50/hour, plus incentives; higher rates may be available based on experience. The Cherry Arts is an equal opportunity employer committed to challenging racist power structures. We actively encourage BIPOC applicants for this position.

For the right candidate, the position has the potential to evolve into a permanent part-time position starting in the fall, including flexible scheduling and paid time off.

Applicants should send a brief cover letter and resumé to sam@thecherry.org with “Summer Sponsorship Position” in the subject line.
